Frequently asked
Questions worth answering up front
The five things most people ask before they put VivoCore on their wrist. No jargon, no fine print — just what we do, what we don’t, and where the line sits between a monitoring companion and a medical device.
Question 1 of 5
How is my wearable data handled and who can see it?
Encrypted in transit and at rest, scoped per user. Only you see your raw vitals by default; linked caregivers see what you have explicitly opted to share (e.g. alerts) and nothing else. We do not sell data and do not share it with insurers or advertisers. Account deletion permanently removes your records.
Question 2 of 5
Which wearables does VivoCore support and do I need to buy new hardware?
Bring your own — VivoCore is hardware-agnostic for heart rate and blood oxygen, so the watch, ring, or chest strap you already own works. No VivoCore-branded hardware is required to start. New integrations ship regularly; check the devices page for the live list.
Question 3 of 5
What happens when an anomaly is detected — does it page someone?
No — the alert is surfaced to you first, in the app’s daily summary and in your opted channels (email, push). You decide whether to escalate to a linked caregiver, book a clinician appointment, or take no action at all. We never auto-page a doctor, 911, or a third-party responder.
Question 4 of 5
Is this a medical device / does it replace my doctor?
No. VivoCore is a monitoring and triage companion — it surfaces deviations from your own baseline so you can have better-informed conversations with your clinician. It is not a diagnostic device, is not FDA-cleared, and is not a substitute for professional medical advice.
Question 5 of 5
How much does it cost and is there a free tier?
Yes — there is a free tier with adaptive baselines, daily summaries, and one connected caregiver. A paid tier unlocks longer trend history, multi-caregiver sharing, and richer integrations. Final pricing is announced at general availability — join the waitlist at the home page to be notified when paid plans open.
